Scott Thompson

Scott Thompson is General Counsel and Executive Vice President of SpiritBank, a state bank based in and around Tulsa. As General Counsel, he is responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the bank including advising management and the board of directors, reviewing and approving contracts, working with regulators, advising internal departments, drafting leases for bank-owned properties and managing outside litigation counsel. Prior to his work at SpiritBank, Thompson spent fourteen years as a partner at Lester, Loving & Davies, P.C. where his practice was focused on banking, state and local governments, commercial law, alcoholic beverages regulation, trademark, copyright and business litigation. 

Thompson is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC.  Thompson has taught US Government at OSU-OKC and has been a frequent guest lecturer in Business Law at UCO. Over the years, Thompson has been heavily involved with activities in the City of Edmond and the Edmond School District. Thompson has represented the City of Edmond on several matters, has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and has chaired both the Governmental Relations Committee and Leadership Edmond Alumni Committees at the Chamber. Thompson also helped found WatchDOG programs at three Edmond elementary schools and was a YMCA sports coach for over ten years.
